• Piedmont Post, The Wines of South Africa, By Pierre du Mont. 2004 Iona Sauvignon Blanc. I know everyone thinks New Zealand is Sauvignon Blanc heaven but if this wine is any indication, the Kiwis better watch out. This is one of the best Sauvignon Blancs I have tasted - period. It has a lemony, citrus nose, full-bodied sweet peach and apricot fruit with bracing acidity and great balance. Worth seeking out.
